Ramallah – Closing of the Training Course on “Etiquette for Dealing with Individuals with Disabilities”
Today, Tuesday, November 19, 2024, Bihimmetkom Association, in partnership with the Palestine Development Foundation, concluded a training course titled “Etiquette for Dealing with Individuals with Disabilities,” with the participation of representatives from several civil and local organizations.
The two-day course included intensive interactive sessions led by trainer Mr. Awad Abayat, during which the basic concepts of etiquette for dealing with individuals with disabilities were discussed. Additionally, a short film was shown, narrating real-life experiences of individuals with disabilities, which helped participants engage with the issues raised in a more informed manner.
In her closing speech, Ms. Amira Abu Arqoub, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, praised the importance of this course in spreading the culture of humane interaction that promotes respect and dignity for individuals with disabilities. She pointed out that the course is part of the association’s efforts to achieve full integration into society.
Mr. Mohamed Abu Khalil, one of the founders of the association and its former Chairman, expressed his pride in the achievements, reaffirming the association’s ongoing role in promoting community understanding and supporting the rights of individuals with disabilities.
The course concluded with recommendations from the participants about the importance of expanding the scope of such activities to reach broader segments of society, thus promoting the creation of a more inclusive and respectful community for all.
