Sanad for Sanad Initiative
This is a follow-up initiative that started in 2022 and continued into 2023. The initiative sheds light on the situation of persons with disabilities within Palestinian camps, focusing on four camps: Noor Shams, Askar, Al-Amari, and Shuafat.
Activities:
- Training Sessions:
- Conducted training for a group of youth with and without disabilities on advocacy and etiquette for interacting with persons with disabilities.
- Identifying Key Issues:
- At the end of the training, important issues affecting persons with disabilities within the camps were identified.
- Specialized Accountability Sessions:
- Organized accountability sessions addressing each identified issue with the participation of local committees from each camp, the Ministry of Social Development, the General Union of Persons with Disabilities, and UNRWA.
